The Delta Lambda chapter of Zeta Beta Tau helped a Monmouth family move out of their home of 60 years.
This past weekend, fraternity members assisted Darrel and Anne Liniger with packing and moving belongings. Their son, Doug Liniger, a 1987 graduate of Monmouth College and ZBT alum, said this act of service means to a lot.
“It is being done as a promise kept,” said Liniger. “A little over a year ago, each member of the chapter signed a letter of support to me and said that if I needed anything, just ask.”
With the help of the ZBT members, the packing was complete in about an hour and a half.
“Honestly, it was really nice to help a brother,” said Jacee Goodrich, a ZBT member. “I feel good knowing that we’ll always have each other’s backs anywhere in life.”
The Delta Lambda chapter of ZBT has served the Monmouth community for over 50 years through philanthropy and volunteer work.
