Basketball season is just around the corner for the Scots Women’s basketball team.
”I am really excited for this upcoming season because Coach Jones brought in a lot of freshmen,” said junior forward Anna Caster. “With higher numbers this year, we will have more flexibility and opportunities to learn and get better in practices and on the game court. I'm predicting a successful season and looking forward to playing with all of our newcomers.”
Last season, the women's team ended with an overall record of 14 wins -10 losses which qualified them for a trip to conference championship last February.
Caster said this season is looking bright for the Scots. “This year's team has a strong bond and a lot of talent. I can already tell that we will build off of those things as we learn and grow as a team.”
They have added 12 freshmen to their returning roster of 7 upperclassmen. The Scots look to their 4 Seniors Jadyn Mitchell, Zoie Wall, Lily Harlan, and Tarae Warner for leadership both on and off the court. The Scots will host a home scrimmage on November 5th at 3pm. Their first game tips off on November 8th at Greenville University at 6:00 p.m.
