On October 31st, Kappa Kappa Gamma opened their front porch to the local trick or treaters for Halloween. The women of the sorority passed out candy from 4-7 PM and got to interact with the Monmouth community.
“I love that we get to do this for the Monmouth community,” says senior Madison Squire, who is familiar with the area being from Knoxville which is just 20 minutes away. “We live in our little college bubble most of the time so it’s nice to talk with the residents of the surrounding area.”
Kappa hasn’t done trick or treating for the last couple of years due to COVID-19. Now with things moving back to normal, the women were able to sit outside and talk with Monmouth families.
“It was so nice to talk to all the families that came by,” says Squire. “My favorite part was seeing all of the kids in their cute costumes, but it also gave us the opportunity to show the community that Kappa cares for them.”
