Monmouth College Homecoming is a time to see alumni, old friends and celebrate your school spirit. The homecoming weekend was full of activities to participate in. These include the Spirit Shout, the Homecoming Parade, Tailgating, and of course the Football Game.
The Spirit Shout Friday evening consisted of a few words from President Wyatt and the football team, sorority and fraternity dances and chants, as well as performances by the cheerleading and dance team, and the coronation of this year’s homecoming king, queen, prince, and princess.
The student body nominates four for each category and then votes on a winner. This year's winners were Lillian Hucke (princess), Luis Castillo (prince), Calista Warmowski (queen), and Tommy Green (king).
“Homecoming is one of my favorite weekends at Monmouth and being crowned queen made the weekend feel so much more special and memorable,” said Homecoming Queen Calista Warmowski.
“Homecoming is such a great time to reconnect with alumni and to see old friends,” said Homecoming King Tommy Green. “This year was made extra special by being crowned king, and I couldn’t be more thankful.”
This year's homecoming tailgate was held at both Euclid and North parking lots this year so there was even more space for more families. And to close homecoming weekend, a big win by the Scots’ football team beating Lawrence 62 to 6. Read more about the football team’s win on the Sports Page.
