On April 15th, the annual Monmouth College Highlanders Awards took place in Hewes Library. Monmouth College President Patricia Draves opened the night, welcoming attendees and recognizing the nominees.
The Highlander Awards celebrate outstanding individuals, organizations, and programs at Monmouth College. The awards are co-sponsored by the Wackerle Center for Career, Leadership & Fellowships and the Office of Student Engagement.
12 award categories recognize exceptional students, faculty, staff, organizations, teams, clubs, and programs ranging from Peer Mentor of the Year to the White and Crimson Leadership Award.
The winners are as follows:
Peer mentor of the year: Brontë de Zwart.
Good Neighbor Award: Ryan Phillips.
Monmouth Difference Maker Award: Justin Swearinger.
Student Employee of the Year: Paige Bergschneider.
Service Excellence Award: Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Advisor Excellence Award: Alec Stinnett.
Organization Excellence Award: Raices.
Outstanding Career Mentor: Audra Goach.
Kaleidoscope Award: Black History Month Program Series (ASAP & Religious and Spiritual Life).
Emerging Leader Award: Karla Ramirez.
The Champion for Change Award: Kamea Graham.
White and Crimson Leadership Award: Izzy Gimm.
