Ever since the closing of Petey’s Pub and Grill and Cerar’s Barnstormer, while there are many options for pizza and fast food, a lot of times some wish to have a nice meal without going out of town.
At the beginning of February, the town gained another choice for something to eat. The Trax Northside Grill opened in the old Petey’s location under two brothers: Brad and Matt Bernardi. The brothers also co-own Sully’s Pub and Sidetrax restaurants in Galesburg. The Trax in Monmouth will be open seven days a week: 11am-5pm Sunday through Tuesday; 11am-10pm Wednesday and Thursday; and 11am-midnight Friday and Saturday. You can find their menu, located on their Facebook page, which consists of everything from specialty wings, seafood, to sandwiches and pizza.
“I am excited to see the new restaurant open up in town. It gives us another place to eat and I might not have to drive to Galesburg as much now,” said Elexus Mowery.
“The food was very good; it was super busy since I went on one of the first days, so it took a while for the food, but it was definitely well worth the wait. 10/10 would recommend,” said Baylee McKeown.
Make sure you check out and support this new restaurant!
