Saturday, October 22, Monmouth College Department of Music presented their Fall Choir Concert. The concert featured performances from the Monmouth Chorale and Chamber Choir, directed by Tim Pahel, and the Monmouth College Concert Choir, directed by Tom Clark with Solee Lee-Clark as accompanist.
The choirs presented music from different cultures and backgrounds. Songs with Middle Eastern twists, English folk inspired songs, and songs based on the three witches in Hamlet were performed.
At the performance and currently, the Chorale is raising money for their Spring Break Tour in Colorado. CDs from their last tour are being sold for $5 for students and $10 for non-students. Contact Tim Pahel to purchase at tpahel@monmouthcollege.edu.
The Chorale is also fundraising by hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, October 28 from 5 to 7 p.m., at Faith Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
Look forward to the Monmouth College Department of Music Variety Show, held in Dahl Chapel on November 11 at 7 p.m. Choir members, faculty, and staff will be performing an assortment of talents.
