The Scots swim team combined a total of 112 points at their swim meet on Saturday November 2nd. The men scored 61 points as a collective, and the women collectively scored 51 points.
Men’s
The Scots saw a huge individual performance from Tariq McLarty, who won both the 100 meter butterfly and the 100 meter freestyle.
Bucket Youvan followed the impressive performance by placing in the 100 meter freestyle, second in the 50 meter freestyle, and fourth in the 100 meter backstroke.
Kody Coyne went on to grab a second place finish in the 100 meter breaststroke and finished fifth in the 200 meter. Jordan Brigford finished right behind Coyne in the 200 meter, coming in at sixth place.
Tristan Kennon finished in fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle. Jaeden Peters finished fourth place in the 500 meter freestyle.
Monmouth’s men’s relay team for the 200 yard medley relay, Luke Foster, Coyne, McLarty, and Kennon, finished second. Kennon, Foster, Eli Willis, and McLarty ended the 400 freestyle relay in second place.
Women’s
Cally Tate grabbed first place in the 50 free. Claire LaBadie finished fifth in the 50 freestyle, and finished fourth in the 100 freestyle.
Tate finished first in the 100 backstroke, with Aiden Bach close behind, coming in at second place.
Caitlyn Stewart took first place in the 500 freestyle, and went on to finish third in the 100 butterfly.
Allie Warren finished second in the 200 yard IM. Nicole Fitch went on to finish sixth in the same race.
The women’s relay team with Tate, Lea Schmitt, Stewart, and LaBadie finished second in the 200 yard medley relay. The 400 yard relay team, Fitch, LaBadie, Stewart, and Tate, finished in second.
