On February 8, Monmouth College Men’s Basketball team sealed their last home game with a nail-biting win over Knox College in Glennie Gymnasium. Both teams stayed close in the game with only an 8-point difference in scores until the last minute. Jordan Metcalf had a career high block game with four placing him in fifth most blocks in Scots history.
The Fighting Scots stayed neck to neck with 11 lead changes and only having a 5-point difference in the first half. Kendall Brasfield and Jordan Metcalf dominated the first half both defensively and offensively. Coming out of the second timeout, Scots hit a quick second-chance layup, 3 threes, and an aggressive post move for Yuvraj Sidhu over two players.
Opening second half, David Williams hit a dagger from deep and later in the game Knox gets a technical foul giving the Scots a 6-point lead. Knox managed to bring game back to a tied score at 62 then Sidhu gains momentum with a steal for fast break layup putting Scots up by two. Brasfield attacked the rim for a tough and one and Declan Flynn dominated offensively from deep. Momentum seemed to end until Bradfield had a fast break dunk to keep Scots up on their feet and come out victorious.
