Last Weekend, Scots Track & Field won 8 events and earned 25 personal records at the conference in Ripon, Wisconsin.
Miranda Hursey won in the pole vault, setting a personal best at 3.34 meters. Maddie Boley won the weight throw with a new personal best of 16.81m. Maddie Rusk placed first in the long jump with a personal best of 5.47m.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team placed first at 3 minutes, 24.34 seconds. The athletes on the relay team were Patrick Curry Jr, Eli Newton, Xavier Camper, and Adrian Outlaw. Newton won the 800m dash with a personal best of 1:55:43 seconds. Outlaw won the 400m dash with a new personal record of 50.99 seconds.
The men swept the shot put and weight throw, taking first, second, and third. Shane Anderson placed third in the shot put with a 13.74 meter throw and second in the weight throw with an 18.01m throw. Blake Orwig placed second at 13.74m in the shot put and third in the weight throw with a 17.62m throw. Caleb Toberman placed first in the shot put with a 15.36m throw and the weight throw with a throw of 18.67m.
At the conference championship, there were a lot of personal records achieved. Many athletes moved up the rankings in Scots’ track and field history. For instance, Newton became the fastest 800m runner, and Hursey became the sixth-best woman pole vaulter in Scots history. Boley achieved the fourth farthest throw in women's weight throw, moving her up to second all-time in the women's weight throw.
At the end of the conference championships, the men's and women's teams placed second overall. The men scored 108.5 points, while the women scored 114.5 points.
