This past Tuesday, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams lost to the Lake Forest College Foresters.
Monmouth men started off strong with Jordan Hill scoring the first five points of the game and Turner Plumer also scoring before the Foresters got a point on the board. The Scots ended the first half with a 39-35 lead. Plumer scored the first four points of the second half. The Foresters then took the lead, but Hill then tied it at 46. But in the end, the men lost with a score of 71-66.
The first point of the women’s game went to the Foresters before Ashley Jones put the Scots on the board with three points. Towards the end of the half, Madison Heisch put the Scots in the lead by one. After a long back and forth battle, the Scots lost 76-58.
The next home game for each team is on Saturday, February 10th, versus Ripon College. The men are set to play at 3 pm and the women at 5 pm.
