The Monmouth College men’s basketball team fell to Coe College on Wednesday November 16th, after having a lead in the first half. Coe eventually pulled away with a win in the non-conference matchup 79-57.
Sophomore guard, Jordan Hill, led the Scots with 13 points, which is a collegiate career high for him. “I have high expectations for this team. We have the potential to be really good and we're still learning what it takes to become the team we want to be,” said Hill. “With that being said, the goal is to make the conference tournament. It’s going to take a tremendous amount of focus and hard work to get there.”
Another sophomore guard, Kendall Brasfield, scored some clutch points to take the lead against Coe. He finished with 10 points and has scored in the double-digits in three of four games this season.
Their conference season began following Thanksgiving break with a 7:30pm matchup against Lake Forest College on November 29th.
The Scot’s next game will be away on Saturday December 3rd vs. Beloit.
