Monmouth College students gathered on the Quad on Wednesday, September 17th, from 4–7 p.m. for the Mental Health Fair, an event designed to connect students with wellness resources and start conversations about mental health. Featuring different groups, the fair highlighted the many ways students can find support both on and off campus.
Scots Student Senate challenged students with a cup-stacking game to demonstrate the importance of time management. “Multitasking and time management is one of the most important things for mental health,” said member Joey Twardowski. “By showing the dangers of multitasking, we encourage students to focus on one task at a time.”
Alpha Xi Delta offered a balloon-popping activity, where students wrote down their problems before stomping them away. “By popping it, it shows that you can overcome it, even if it feels daunting,” said member Aiden Bach.

The Mental Health Peer Educators shared resources for students seeking confidential peer support and promoted their upcoming Suicide Awareness Walk. “It’s nice to know that we’re confidential and here to listen,” said member Lexi Hasson.
The Therapy Dogs offered students a chance to slow down and relax with certified therapy dogs on the Quad lawn. “It’s amazing how petting a therapy dog can calm someone down,” said handler Laurie Myers. “We hope to bring joy and calm to the craziness of college life.”
