“Freshman orientation was super fun! The walkout and playfair were both really cool activities to do with your whole class. It was nice how busy we were, so we didn’t have time to miss our families. Overall it was a really fun experience to meet your freshman class and get to know everything around the school.” – Freshman Lena Wickens
“During freshman orientation, I got to meet so many different people! I loved how involved we became during the four days and became so close with people I never would’ve without it. Orientation also helped me become more familiar with the campus before classes started and ease my nerves.” – Freshman Madisyn Hammon
“During orientation they made all the transfer students stay in one group so I didn’t feel like I could hang out with the people I knew in the other groups. They also jammed out schedule with so much to do that I got tired of it all and stopped going.” – Anonymous Sophomore Transfer
“I understand they don’t want us to sit in our rooms and miss our families, but orientation was exhausting and as result, not much fun at all.” – Anonymous Freshman
"My orientation experience is unique because I am enrolled as purely foreign student. Entering Monmouth was not my first time coming to the United States to study. Regardless, the experience was a gratifying one. The Orientation Leaders were a humorous, knowledgeable and eccentric group of students; they were obliging, genuine and warm. As we engaged in different activities, most of the international students spent quite a lot of time together with these OLs, and we’ve all become closer with one another as a result. My orientation created the perfect environment for such a thing to happen, and the bonds I’ve consequently made are invaluable to me. I’m indefinitely grateful." – Darlon Riviere, Contributing Writer
