New campus organization, The Women's League, intends to create a space for students who identify as a woman to come together and discuss leadership, their careers and what it means to unite together as women. The league is an independent organization through the Champion Miller Center.
Nyasaina Kwamboka, Champion Miller lead intern for the league, said they hope to “build a sense of community, belonging, and help the women accomplish growth.”
The goal of this organization is resilience, empowerment, leadership and responsibility as women. The Women's League meets every Sunday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Champion Miller Center.
The group is overseen by Regina Johnson, with Cindy Beatles and Sydney Greenwalt as adult women mentors with students Gabriela Madu and Grace Cornelius leading the women's empowerment group.
