“The early practices are tough, but these are things that need to be done to win championships,” said Sophomore pitcher, Anna McCarty as they started the season with 6:00 a.m. practices.
Even though the girls finished last season 13-23-1, they are looking to turn things around for this year. They are hoping to do this as they have 5 players returning as seniors. Returning seniors include, pitcher Abby Leber, infielders Madelyn Bellville and Addison Riley, first baseman MyKenzie Kloess, and Calista Warmowski.
On top of that they have 5 new freshmen to the team including, infielder Vanessa Wright, Elizabeth Durfee and Addison Narlock, catcher Jayalia Therien, and pitcher Kayleigh Cobb.
The softball team travels to down to Florida to play eight games over spring break. The Scots open at home with a double header against Augustana on Saturday March 18th with the first game at 1:00 p.m.
