Last Wednesday, November 1st, Monmouth College hosted its fifth annual Career Expo. The Career Expo is meant to expose students to professionals in prospective careers and help them strike up conversations with different companies, gain interest, or forge a path for their future. This year’s expo consisted of potential employers from all across the Midwest. “We have representatives from health services, as well as organizations like the Peace Corps, and other industries,” said Director of the Wackerle Center for Career, Leadership, and Fellowships, Marnie Steach. There were a wide variety of employment opportunities present at the expo, including many offering internships and jobs to students immediately after receiving their bachelors degree. Some even offered programs to provide financial assistance in attaining a masters degree.
The Wackerle Center offers wide students access to information about career planning, both through events like the Career Expo and thru their office in Hewes Library across from Einstein’s.
