On Saturday, the Monmouth College football team hit the gridiron and hit the Lawrence University Vikings with a score of 62 to 6. The Scots are now 3-1 on the season, 3-0 in Midwest Conference play.
With the coin toss going Monmouth’s way, the Scots scored on a two play drive 29 seconds into the game.
“The team had good game plays working together to take the win and shout out to the whole team for working for the win” said Senior Quarterback Riley Fetterer.
After the first quarter and a 28-0 lead, Fetterer would get a rest and Senior Quarterback Carter Boyer would take over for the second quarter with Sophomore QB Ashton Summers handling the second half.
Fetterer was 10-for-10 for 126 yards and one touchdown. Boyer was also 10-for-10, for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Summers was 1-for-2 as the Scots completed their first 21 passes of the game.
Coming up, the Scots will travel to the University of Chicago on Saturday October 8th kickoff is at 1p.m.
