I also have a pit bull, Bambi, who I take on walks and really just enjoy time around my friends and family. Here at Monmouth it’s almost the same as I love being social and hanging out with my friends and working on all my assignments for my art classes.”
Here are a couple pieces of Takahaskis’ work.
(Left picture below) Her inspiration: Takahashi explained this project was all about her family heritage, “Right around the time the project was assigned, my grandpa (Papa) was diagnosed with cancer. He loved to cook more than anything and obviously being Japanese, my family loves sushi. The painting was a tribute to him and his favorite food.”
(Right picture below) Her inspiration: “It was sort of an idea that just came to me and I knew it could look pretty cool if I could execute it,” she explained. This was Takahashis’ final that was to be comprised of a certain number of elements and principals that she had been practicing all semester long.
