After four seasons, the Chicago Bears have apparently seen enough of former No. 2 overall pick, Mitch Trubisky, and decided they needed a new quarterback to lead their team. Talks of Desean Watson and Russel Wilson coming to Chicago were two of the biggest rumors. Seeing Mitch Trubisky being traded off to the Buffalo Bills was a promising site for Chicago fans. The 26-year-old signal caller made nine starts for Chicago last season, splitting starting duties with Nick Foles. Chicago even offered a big trade package for Wilson, which could have included Trubisky. Instead, Trubisky chose to go to Buffalo and become a backup for Josh Allen. Bills GM, Brandon Beane, was quoted saying, “Come here, have a reset year and just be a part of what we’re doing here. Be the best version of yourself and the future will take care of itself.” If that doesn’t sound welcoming to a struggling quarterback, I don’t know what does. Trubisky’s time in Buffalo should allow the former No. 2 pick to develop his skills and potentially become a good quarterback.
