Monmouth men’s lacrosse picked up their first win of conference play, topping the Cornell Rams 14-9.
The Scots were the first to score out of the gates as Croy Seagren connected on a shot at the 10:46 mark in the first-quarter. Mitch Perez added on another score just over a minute later, stretching the Monmouth lead to two. With under five-minutes remaining in the frame Seagren got his second-goal of the night for a 3-0 lead after one.
Perez and Seagren had the hot hands as they added on three more goals in the second-quarter. Connor Armstrong added on the final goal of the half as the Scots went to the half up 7-2.
A pair of Chase Cranford goals followed by a strike by Joe Incorvati stretched the Monmouth lead to 10- 2. Shane Herkert added on the final score of the period for an 11-4 lead heading into the final frame.

Cranford led the way in scoring with four goals apiece. Grant Miller recorded twelve saves and allowed eight goals for the match.
