The Scots fought hard on the opening round of the Ryerson Fall Invite last Friday before the rain came in and washed Saturday’s contest away.
The Men’s Golf team traveled to Pella, Iowa, last weekend to compete in the invitational hosted by Central College. The event opened on Friday with a proposed 36 holes total between Friday and Saturday, but Saturday was cancelled due to bad weather and, unfortunately, will not be rescheduled.
The 6,932-yard course is long and tree lined and is a par 72. The Scots swung hard and finished with a total of 369. Ryan Prusak led the Scots once again, with an 88, just a few strokes ahead of Jimmy Johnson’s 91. Max Cook was tallied a 94, just ahead of Ben Dobberstein’s 96 and Noah Shields’ 97. The Scots finished eighth in the invitational, scoring 81 strokes over par.
The Scots traveled to Elmhurst on Thursday and competed in the Gavin Lux Invitational and will travel to Benedictine on Sunday to play in the Eagle Fall Invitational. Following this weekend’s event, the Scots have two more events before competing in the SLIAC Conference Championship on April 27-28.
