Monmouth College’s annual Family Weekend took place on campus from September 8th to the 10th. The campus planned multiple fun events for students and their families while they enjoyed their time together on campus. On Friday, the fun events kicked off with the Monmouth Farmer’s Market, featuring fresh produce from the Monmouth College Educational Farm and Garden. At night, Monmouth hosted a hypnotist in Dahl Chapel and Auditorium. The college’s legacy families were invited to share in their similar experiences and connect with people from their past during their Legacy Brunch on Saturday. Fun campus festivities were offered on the quad complete with inflatables and a carnival-themed lunch collection, including kettle corn and cotton candy. Monmouth’s football home opener kicked off against University of Chicago at 1 pm at April Zorn Stadium. The night ended with the Family Weekend Concert sponsored by the college’s Department of Music in Dahl. This weekend is special to a lot of Monmouth College families because it’s time they can spend with their students at the institution they call home.
