The Alpha Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma partnered with the Monmouth Kappa Alumnae Association to welcome guests into their chapter house on September 24th from 5–6:30 p.m. for an evening of connection, history, and sisterhood. Alumnae provided homemade cookies and brownies as faculty, staff, and friends of the chapter toured the home.

One of the highlights of the evening was the chapter’s donor wall, a meaningful display honoring alumnae whose generosity made it possible to purchase the house in 2017. The display not only commemorates those who contributed but also symbolizes the enduring role alumnae play in supporting the sorority’s founding Chapter.
“Our alumnae give us incredible support, and the donor wall is a daily reminder of the women who believed in our chapter and invested in our future,” said Danielle Johnson, Vice President of External Relations. “Events like this open house allow us to celebrate those bonds and bring together alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends of Kappa.”
Guests were also able to explore the two-story colonial revival-style home, which features a formal living room and dining room, and a “Sisterhood Room” where members gather for movie nights, study sessions, and chapter meetings. From the sun porch to the backyard tennis court, the home offers spaces for both community and connection, while also showcasing the pride KKG’s Alpha Chapter takes in its history and sisterhood.

Chapter President Lily Fleming reflected on the significance of opening the doors to campus and community saying, “We love our chapter home and the sisterhood it represents. This open house is a way to strengthen our campus connections, invite faculty, staff, and administration in, and share the pride we have in being part of Kappa and the College’s Greek Life community.”
