Karaoke For a Cause with Alpha Xi Delta

On Friday November 11th, Alpha Xi Delta organized “Karaoke For A Cause” to raise money for Foster Club, an organization that helps young people in foster care. The attendance of the event was free, but for a $5 donation students could karaoke.

21 entries were registered and a total of $181 was raised for the cause.

“I think it’s a fun thing to get campus involved. Last semester, we raised $102, so we improved and it went a lot better than expected”, said Olivia Turley, philanthropy vice president of Alpha Xi Delta.  

Anita Gandara, Cassandra Nolasco, AJ Furness and Olivia Postin (OP) were the winners of this karaoke night and were awarded gift cards. “I didn’t expect to win […] I’m glad to help out since it’s a very important cause”, said Nolasco.
