Hydrate or die-drate
2019 is all about hydration and it is one of the most important aspects of your inner health that reflects on your outer appearance! The most important part of hydration is access to water. This means that everyone should have a water bottle or some sort of drink with them during the day, espically during this heat wave.
I also know that some students would prefer not to drink the Monmouth tap water from the drinking fountains, so having your own supply on hand during classes makes it that much easier to be willing to drink water. There are water bottle refill stations on campus that can fill your water bottle with purified water, so you don’t necessarily have to buy water bottles from the store (plus, environmentally speaking, refillable bottles are better!). In addition, keeping your water cold is another way to make sure you’re motivated to drink water all through the day.
But it’s not just water that can keep you hydrated. It’s important to get water intake from foods as well. Salads, especially those with cucumbers and lettuce, can boost your water intake for the day fairly easily. I know that we always hear how important hydration is, but being students means we sometimes forget basic self-care in favor of keeping up with our classes, finding time to socialize, or relax.
Things like hydration, nutrition, and sleep routines can fall by the wayside as our stress levels go up.
Remember to take care of yourself! Have fun and bottoms up!
