Located in Hewes Library, the Wackerle Center for Career, Leadership, and Fellowships has been offering services to students on Monmouth’s campus for 26 years. The staff meets with current students individually and offers guidance for career exploration and life after graduation.
Marnie Dugan, Director of the Wackerle Center, believes students should utilize the services in Wackerle more. “It’s a huge resource for students, especially on a small campus like ours,” said Dugan. “Personalized attention to help reach your career aspirations is a perk of attending a school like Monmouth. It can all feel a bit overwhelming, but we are here to help.”

Dugan has worked in Wackerle since she started at Monmouth in 2012. Some of the main services offered at the Wackerle Center are assistance with resumes and cover letters, connections to alumni and employers, searching for graduate schools and internships, proper interview etiquette and much more.
Ashleigh Franciscovich, current junior, has just recently started utilizing the services of the Wackerle Center. “I’m not sure why I waited until now to get assistance from Wackerle. I honestly didn’t pay attention to all the things it had to offer,” said Franciscovich. “As a junior, I am starting to think about internships and life post-graduation so Wackerle has been very useful for me.”
