On Friday, November 3rd, the first annual Mr. Fraternity pageant commenced, organized by Order of Omega President Tori Cook. Participants representing every sorority and fraternity on campus competed in different categories, from showing off their trivia knowledge, to displaying their talents and, finally, modeling their best formal wear while giving a speech on the importance of education. A panel of judges chose Colin Kreipe, who represented Kappa Kappa Gamma, as the first Mr. Fraternity.
Throughout the week, students could make donations to the contestant of their choosing in Stockdale. The contestant who raised the most funds won Mr. Congeniality, and this year's was Phi Delta Theta president Colin Morris.
“We greatly appreciate all of the funds that have been donated thus far. Half of the funds raised will go to the organization designated by the undergraduate chapter of the Order of Omega, the Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation,” said Cook. “The other half of the funds raised will go to the philanthropy designated by the winning contestant.”
Braedan Braumen, Luis Castillo, Eli Kelly, Colin Kreipe, Barton Rodriguez, Macaden Sepich, Collin Morris, Jaydon Wilbon, and Cameron Winters participated in the event.
