The final event in Greek week this year was very different from years past. In the past there has been a Greek week talent show to round off Greek week. However, because of covid this year’s final event was a 5k photo hunt run. There were a set of rules given to each team which consisted of 2-3 people about how to go about participating in the event. The route for the 5k was wrapped around campus as the nine clues that were given lead to different academic buildings, and other significant spots around campus.
My favorite clue was the clue that led us to Wallace Hall because I am going to be graduating in a month so it was a little sentimental to go to the cupola and just remember that that’s where I will be walking in a short month,” said Stephanie Williams, a senior member of Pi Beta Phi, participated with her little and the chapter president. Williams and her little have been training to compete in a 5k during the summer and thought that competing in the Greek week 5k would be good practice for them.
The teams were expected to take creative pictures at each clue, which Williams said was slightly difficult at times considering your whole team had to be in each picture. To get some extra points throughout the run there were 5 clues, such as counting the number of spaces in the parking lot behind your Greek facility.
The winner was determined on creativity of pictures and the amount of extra clues completed by each team. PiPhi Angels were declared the winners.
