Gordon earns MWC Performer of the Week

Kara-Jade Gordon (Nashville, Tenn./University School) has helped push the Fighting Scots to the brink of a record-setting season and picked up this week’s Midwest Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week award for her efforts last weekend.

Gordon moved into a tie for the Scots’ career game-winning goal mark and helped Monmouth move into second place in the Midwest Conference with their program record, tying 12th win. The senior forward opened the week netting the tying goal in a 4-1 win over Lake Forest and ended the week with a hat trick, scoring her 13th career game-winning goal in a 6-1 win over Lawrence. For the week, Monmouth’s leading scorer netted four goals and one assist while posting a .556 shot-on-goal percentage and a .444 shot percentage.
