Game On! ASAP restarts video game night tradition, creating fun and invoking nostalgia

Monmouth students put on their game faces last Friday as ASAP hosted its highly popular video game night in the lower level of Stockdale. Students were treated to a wide variety of games, ranging to those offered by the more recent Nintendo Switch, such as Mario Kart 8. There were also blasts from the past on the older, but beloved Wii, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Just Dance 2, Call of Duty, and a favorite among a majority of 2000s kids: Wii Sports.
Last Friday marked the first time in a while that ASAP has hosted a video game night for Monmouth students. “ASAP has held these [video game nights] in the past, so we just decided to bring it back for the first time this semester.”, said freshman Lexi Serpette, a member of ASAP’s events committee. Serpette added it was possible that ASAP could hold the same event again next semester, depending on student interest.
