Saturday night was a night to celebrate for the Monmouth romantics. The Chorale’s annual Broadway on Broadway fundraiser brought more than just talent to the stage. Seniors Hannah McGhee and Collin Kreipe were the highlight of the night with their performance of Love is an Open Door from Disney’s Frozen. As they sang the final notes, Kreipe got down on one knee, proposing to his girlfriend of 3 years.

“I had no idea, I forgot to say yes at first,” McGhee said. The pair met at Monmouth and bonded over their love of performing over the years. Being involved in theatre, chorale, and Greek life are just a few of their similarities.
“I started planning about four months ago. I was so nervous that she figured it out,” Kreipe said.
While this capped off the night, many Broadway hits from shows ranging from West Side Story to Cabaret to Little Shop of Horrors were performed by students and faculty.
