Since Fareway opened at the end of July, I have heard a lot of positive feedback regarding the store in general. The Midwest based grocery store is known for their meat counter, for those who tailgate football games, Fareway has what you need! Having two grocery stores across from one another means that there has been a lot of comparison between County Market and Fareway. “I like it because I feel like there is more of a variety than any store I have ever been to, especially the meat department. It is also a lot cheaper than County Market,” said Baylee McKeown.
Fareway is a full-service grocery store, which means helping you out to your vehicle and loading your groceries for you. At the checkout, your items in your cart are unloaded, scanned and bagged for you so you don’t have to lift a finger. “Fareway has had a good reputation for their meat counter and being a full-service grocery store. I enjoy working there because of the good management and friendly co-workers,” said Carolina Cruz, Fareway employee and a sophomore at Monmouth College. “I like their meat department, and the setup of the store, prices are reasonable, and the employees are courteous and friendly,” said Sophomore Emma Poole.
As you have noticed, the recurring theme is the store’s meat counter, so you better go and check it out for yourself! Not only do many like the meat counter, but the store has so much more to offer, like fresh produce and healthy options that you would have to go and check out for yourself, and who doesn’t like reasonably priced food!
