On April 23rd ASAP’s Coffeehouse chairs, Mohammad Alsheikh and Jackson Dempich, provided coffee, treats, and conscious conversations to Monmouth College students. Conscious conversations were led by Reverend John Huxtable.
“When it came to this coffeehouse, I wanted to plan this one in celebration of Arab American Heritage Month. This is a great way for the campus to experience Arab culture and traditions,” said Alsheikh.
The Arabic coffee that was served comes from Jordan and Saudi Arabia and the Arabic treats came from Jordan.
Coffeehouse events are usually held every month in the lower level of Stockdale. Be on the lookout for the next coffeehouse.
