Baseball is Back in Swing

The Scots baseball team has high hopes going into their regular season. “Every season, our goal is to make the conference championship, but this year, we have a chance to win it,” said sophomore Dean Duncan. 

Last season, the team ended with a record of 16-23 and a conference record of 11-13. The team has 12 freshmen, ten sophomores, ten juniors, and seven seniors. “We have a lot of returning players, so this season and the next should be very successful,” said Duncan. The team also has a strong bond. “As a team, we feel more connected this season,” said Duncan. 

The team heads to Florida for their spring break trip on March 9. Their first home game is on March 20, at 3 pm, against Blackburn College.
