Dear Scotty,
Okay so this semester is getting to be too much. I don’t really understand what is going on in my classes. I have had 3 extensions for the same paper. I was ready to drop out yesterday. WTF do I do to make it through?
-- Stressy N Depressy
Dear Stressy N Depressy,
There is NO reason to be too too stressy or too too depressy. There are many campus resources here for you to use, like your advisor (whether they are your life advisor or academic advisor -- if you know, you know) or campus counseling. There are also personal resources, like your friends and family to lean on if you needed to. But honestly, the best advice I can give you is to suck it up for the just a little bit longer and hold out for Spring Break. It is just around the corner and it will be a good chance for you to rest and re-coop. Until then, I would make a daily checklist of all the things that you have to accomplish throughout the day; it can be as simple as showering to the most complex of finishing your paper -- just getting some things off your chest would be a good place to start. You’ve got this, you’re a Fighting Scot for Tartan’s Sake! It will all work out one way or another.
