Just as the year 2020 has been, I believe this year’s NFL Super Bowl race will be surprising and unpredictable. Just as many other Chicago Bears fans, I am confident the Bears will prove their worth and make a run to Super Bowl LV being regular season champs out of the NFC North. With quarterback Mitch Trubisky finally developed, he will lead the now seasoned Bears to the best record in the notorious NFC North battling past Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship. For the AFC, I belive Super Bowl LIV MVP Patrick Mahomes will bring the Kansas City Chiefs back to the Super Bowl stage. Now with Super Bowl experience, Mahomes and the Chiefs will coast through to the AFC championship to face NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. With the Chiefs and Bears setting the stage for Super Bowl LV, it will be an intersting mathcup. With the Bears not being on the Super Bowl stage in 15 years and the Cheifs returning from a past year victory, these two championship caliber teams will have different challenges to overcome and strengths to capitilize off of. Unlike 2006, I believe the Chicago Bears will best the Kansas City Chiefs 24-21 becoming Super Bowl LV champions.

This year’s Super Bowl will likely be very unpredictable given the current circumstances we are in. With that being said, I believe that this year’s matchup will feature the Tennessee Titans at 12-4 and the Chicago Bears at 10-6 in the regular season. Tennessee will enter the game as champions of the weak AFC South Division, while the Bears will be forced to make a wild card run out of the NFC North. The Titans were on the cusp of winning the AFC just last season, and have the best running back in the league in Derek Henry as well as an improved Ryan Tannehill. The Titans shocked the NFL last season when they won a shocking wild card game against the Patriots, sending Tom Brady packing to Tampa Bay. Chicago had an off year last season, but still poses a threatening defense as well as improved quarterback play and the addition of tight end Jimmy Graham. With a solid kicking game and improved playcalling, it should be expected for the Bears to not only make the playoffs, but also to make it all the way to the big game. I believe that the Titans will head to the Super Bowl as the prohibitive favorite, but that the Bears will pull off the upset in dramatic fashion, winning the Lombardi Trophy by a score of 16-9.
