One of the largest student shows in recent years, The Juried Student Art in the Len G. Everett Gallery displays 64 artworks from 35 different students. The art ranges from ceramics or sculptures, paintings or drawings, photography, or a mix of all of them.
This year, the show was juried by local artist Mary Schuytema, owner of Chickenscratch Pottery. At the reception, Schuytema announced the winners she had chosen for each category: Ceramics, Design, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Best of Show.
The community gets to decide an eighth category, the BCA People’s Choice Award. Voting can be done by going to the gallery, filling out a piece of paper with the title of your artwork of choice, and placing it in the designated box near the door of the gallery.
The show will be up and open through December 4.
