On Tuesday, Monmouth College football staple and alum Alex Tanney concluded his football career as a player. Prior to his NFL crusade, Tanney led the Fighting Scots Football team for four years and contributed to three perfect seasons and multiple NCAA division III first round victories in 2008 and 2011. Tanney holds the top spot in all NCAA divisions in total touchdowns, career passing yards, and passing completions.
Following his college career, Tanney begin his professional football career with the Kansas City Chiefs, and went on to contribute for the Tennesee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts, and New York Giants. In 2015, Tanney through his only touchdown pass with the Tennesee Titans. Tanney concluded his 9th and final season as a New York giant.With his great career coming to an end, Tanney is a model athlete every Scot can admire.
