Last week, the Academic and Career Excellence Center (ACE) held its sixth annual career expo where students could speak to professionals from 22 employers.
“It's really an opportunity to bring employers to campus, and there's two grad schools,” said Kristy Krisher, the associate director for employer relations and internship development at Monmouth College. Students were lined up waiting to get to speak to potential employers of all kinds, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and corporate careers. “They get to bring all of their information and meet with interested students.”
As seniors start to plan their lives after college, finding jobs can seem like a daunting process. “Career fairs are still the number one way that employers recruit,” said Krisher.
Students can look forward to the seventh annual career expo next October and should be on the lookout for emails the ACE about more employment opportunities.
