Megan thee Stallion Spits Venom on New Single “Hiss”

“I just want to kick this sh*t off by saying, ‘f**k y’all!’ I ain’t gotta clear my name on a motherf**kin’ thing,” Megan thee Stallion announces during the intro of her new single. It serves as the second release for her eagerly awaited third studio album, the first being Cobra.

“My p***y so famous / Might get managed by Kris Jenner next,” she raps a few lines into the first verse. She acknowledges any critics of her sex life and spits:  “Say he f***ed Megan and now he the topic / These **** thinkin’ they lowered the value / All this free promo / I’m turning a profit.” She later on cleverly retorts to any haters listening: “These **** don’t have fans, they bots / These b***es don’t have ass, they shots / And they still tuned in if they fans or not.”

The bar: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan / These hoes be mad at Megan’s Law” has people from around the world listening to “Hiss”. For context, Megan’s Law is “a federal law in the United States that requires law enforcement to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders.” The lyrical line was seen as a shot at Nicki Minaj, due to the lots of flack the singer has received in recent years over her husband’s criminal past. Minaj responded with a series of tweets and her own response diss-track “Bigfoot”. Thee Stallion is known for her tall stature, and for an incident from July 2020, where she got shot in the foot by an ex-boyfriend. Social media chaos between the two fan bases has since ensued.

This Monday, “Hiss” debuted in the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Megan thee Stallion’s third track to reach the top.
